Home > Both Super Mario Galaxy Games are Coming to Switch
As part of the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration, we're getting a release of both Mario Galaxy games on Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be bundled together in physical form for $70 and available separately on the eShop for $40 each. They will release on October 2, 2025.
This is mostly a faithful port, but does feature enhanced resolution (4k on Switch 2), multiple control options, and some added Storybook content. The price seems a bit steep for ports of Wii games (that were $10 each on Wii U), but you are getting two of the best games of all time. The timing of this release leads up to the announcment of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie that will release next year.
Two new Mario Galaxy amiibos will also be coming, although not until right before the movie releases on April 2, 2026. They are Mario & Luma and Rosalina & Lumas and both are larger than standard amiibo and retail for $39.99 each. Check out the full trailer for the games below.
