The Lakeside Area in Bowser's Fury is home to four courses: Fur Step Island, Scamper Shores, Fort Flaptrap, and Pounce Bounce Isle. Each course has 5 Cat Shines to find and collect.
Cat Shine #1 can be found at the end of the first level near the lighthouse after Fury Bowser destroys the set of Fury Blocks with a fireball. Head up the stairs to collect it.
Note: The following four Cat Shines can only be gathered after the game has been beaten. You'll then be able to travel back to Fur Step Island.
After beating the game, you'll be able to travel back to Fur Step Island. On the ship here there is a question mark. Have Bowser Jr. investigate to get Cat Shine #2.
After beating the game, you'll be able to travel back to Fur Step Island. Head back to the dock near the beginning of the level. You'll find Shadow Luigi waiting for you. Chase him down and defeat him with any power-up to get Cat Shine #3.
After beating the game, you'll be able to travel back to Fur Step Island. Collect the five Cat Coins in the level to collect Cat Shine #4. Here's a detailed guide for the 5 Cat Coins.
After beating the game, you'll be able to travel back to Fur Step Island. Near the ship on the main island is a set of four Fury Blocks. Wait for Bowser's Fury to destroy the blocks. You can then collect Cat Shine #5.
Progress to the end of the level and you'll find this Cat Shine #1 near the lighthouse.
Head back to Scamper Shores after leaving to find Shadow Luigi taunting you. Chase him around the level and deal damage by jumping on his head, swiping at him with Cat Mario, or using various items. Once he's defeated, you'll get Cat Shine #2.
To get Cat Shine #3, you'll need to find the key and unlock the cage. Head to the ramps near the lighthouse and you'll find the key laying on the ground. Bring it back to the cage near the beginning of the level to get the Cat Shine.
Collect the five Cat Coins in the level to collect Cat Shine #4. Here's a detailed guide for the 5 Cat Coins.
During any time when Bowser is on his rampage (Bowser's Fury), head to the Fury Blocks that block an alcove in the sand. This is directly below the coin tower. Wait for Bowser to launch a fireball that destroys the blocks. Inside the alcove is Cat Shine #5.
Progress to the end of the level and you'll find this Cat Shine #1 near the lighthouse.
At the beginning of the level there will be a purple switch you can ground pound. This will start a 20 second timer to race to the lighthouse and grab Cat Shine #2. This is easier to do as Cat Mario.
You can find the key needed to unlock the cage on the top of the tall wall near the first long ramp and Cat Coin #3. Grab the key and head back to the cage at the beginning of the level to get Cat Shine #3.

At the back of the main pillar there is a group of Fury Blocks above a bounce pad. During Bowser's Fury, bait him into destroying them with a fireball by bouncing on the bounce pad. In the alcove you'll find Cat Shine #5.
At the beginning of the level, use the Flaptraps to climb to the upper platform here. There are 5 Cat Bullies that will chase you when they see you. Lure them onto the Flaptraps and jump up to trick them into falling. There is also a Power Star in a hidden block to the right you can use. Once all have been defeated, Cat Shine #1 will appear nearby.
At the start of the level, a blue P Switch will appear. That will summon blue coins around the Flaptraps. There are three sets of coins that each appear if you collect the previous set quick enough. Just be quick and careful around the Flaptraps. After collecting them all, Cat Shine #2 will appear.
There will be five Cat Magikoopas that appear in the central Flaptrap area. You must defeat all five of them to get Cat Shine #3. This can be done with any power-up or the Power Star that's in the hidden block on the right of this platform.

On the far side of the island, there are some Fury Blocks laying in the sand. Wait for Bowser's Fury to activate and let him blow them up with a fireball. In the ground you'll find Cat Shine #5.
