Home > Gamecube Games are Coming to Switch 2 Online

One of the best pieces of news from the Switch 2 Direct was that Nintendo Switch Online will be continuing in its current form. There's no need for a new (or more expensive) subscription and we'll have access to all the classic games available on Switch 1 at launch. However, another system is also being added to the lineup. Gamecube games will be available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Gamecube games on Switch 2 will have their own dedicated Nintendo Switch Online app like the other consoles where you'll be able to download and play any of the selection from a single app. There will also be a new wireless Gamecube controller release, which can only be purchased by Nintendo Switch Online members. Here are the three games confirmed for launch:
- F-Zero GX
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- SOULCALIBUR II
The following games were also teased in the trailer but don't have a particular release date:
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
- Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
- Super Mario Strikers
- Chibi-Robo
- Luigi's Mansion
- Pokémon Colosseum
