Home > Metroid Prime Remastered Announced and is Available Today on the eShop
It seems like Nintendo is trying to get us ready for the upcoming release of Metroid Prime 4. During today's Nintendo Direct Metroid Prime Remastered was announced. And better yet, it's out right now on the Switch eShop. As the name suggests, it's an HD remaster of the original Metroid Prime for Switch.
The main differences between this remaster and the original Gamecube game are the HD graphics and the addition of new dual-stick controls that will let you control the camera with the right joystick. Notably, it doesn't seem that the motion controls used in the Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii release will be an option. Metroid Prime Remastered is also getting a physical release on February 22, 2023. The digital version has a MSRP of $39.99, and it's expected the physical version will follow suit.
It's not quite the full remaster of Metroid Prime Trilogy that has been long rumored, but if you haven't played this game yet it's certainly worth picking up before the new game arrives. It's an all-time great.
