The Wasteland Area in Bowser's Fury is home to four courses: Roiling Roller Isle, Risky Whisker Island, Pipe Path Tower, and Mount Magmeow. Each course has 5 Cat Coins to find and collect. Once all five Cat Shine Shards are collected, you'll be rewarded with the course's fourth Cat Shine. This area will be closed off and covered in goop until you've defeated Bowser three times.
Roiling Roller Isle Cat Coins
Cat Coin #1
This coin is a bit tricky to find. In the first gap in the rotating lava pillar, you can see the coin floating near the lava. It looks like you'll need to use the small piece of the pillar that dips down that low to get it, but it is actually sitting on an invisible cloud. So you can safely jump down and pick up Cat Coin #1.
Cat Coin #2
You'll find Cat Coin #2 at the end of the rotating lava pillar. Carefully make your way to the end of it and wait for the correct rotation to pick up the coin.
Cat Coin #3
Near the middle of the level you'll find a tall stack of Cat Goombas. Take them out with your power-up of choice to get Cat Coin #3 which is sitting on top of them.
Cat Coin #4
Right after the tall stack of goombas on the platform, you'll find some smaller rotating lava pillars. One is hollow and inside it is Cat Coin #4.
Cat Coin #5
On the second rotating lava pillar, one of the large green nubs is home to Cat Coin #5. Carefully navigate to it with Cat Mario.
Risky Whisker Island Cat Coins
Cat Coin #1
You can find Cat Coin #1 simply sitting on the left side of the level above the falling platforms.
Cat Coin #2
Cat Coin #2 is floating in the air on the left side of the level. If you hop to it you'll see that there are invisble clouds below it protecting you from falling.
Cat Coin #3
In the rear of the level is a staircase of falling platforms. Climb to the top of it to collect Cat Coin #3.
Cat Coin #4
On the right side of the level you'll find Cat Coin #4 floating between a small gap in the falling platforms. It should be an easy jump to make and grab.
Cat Coin #5
On the right side of the level you'll find Cat Coin #5 floating above an isolated platform. Simply hop over to it to collect this Cat Coin.
Pipe Path Tower Cat Coins
Cat Coin #1
In the first clear pipe area, take the pipe nearest to the wall downward and you'll pop up to the left at an opening where Cat Coin #1 is.
Cat Coin #2
In the second clear pipe area, hop out of the pipes to right or left so you can get on top of them. You can then carefully jump over to Cat Coin #2.
Cat Coin #3
In the third clear pipe area, Cat Coin #3 is positioned in the middle between two pipe openings. Simply exit either one to grab it.
Cat Coin #4
Again in the third clear pipe area, there will be spikes inside the pipes with POW Blocks nearby. Carefully navigate around the spikes to pick up Cat Coin #4.
Cat Coin #5
At the top of the tower behind the lighthouse is a clear pipe blocked by spikes. Use fireballs to destroy them. Take the clear pipe and it will lead you to Cat Coin #5.
Mount Magmeow Cat Coins
Cat Coin #1
On the first main platform of the level, you can hope off the back side onto a green switchboard. This will take you in a small loop leading to Cat Coin #1.
Cat Coin #2
There is a small narrow platform in the middle of the first switchboard section. Hop onto it to collect Cat Coin #2.
Cat Coin #3
There is a section of this level where you'll need to jump along narrow cliffs with spinning fireball obstacles. After the first couple obstacles you can spot Cat Coin #3 in a gap between cliffs above the lava. You'll need to slide down the cliff and wall jump to collect it.
Cat Coin #4
There is a section of this level where you'll need to switch between two green switchboards. Instead ride out the current switchboard and duck under the upcoming wall. From here, wall jump over the next wall to find Cat Coin #4.
Cat Coin #5
There is a section of this level where you'll need to switch between two green switchboards. Nearby is a platform with POW Blocks surrounded by brick blocks. Set off the POW Blocks to reveal Cat Coin #5.
